jetzt is soweit

nachdem die Temperaturen in der Nacht mittlerweile auf -30 sinken und das Thermometer tagsüber auch oft net mehr als -20 Grad anzeigt tut sich das Auto doch ein bissl schwer beim Starten... also Motorblockheizer raus, anstecken und Motorblock warmhalten. Im Moment schauen alle Autos so aus:

Der Motorblockheizer is Standard in Saskatchewan. Was net Standard is aber die meisten haben ist ein Fernzünder, damit man das Auto von drinnen mal starten kann und es schon schön warm ist, wenn man einsteigt.  Unser Fernzünder is im Moment noch der Bernd :) Der rennt immer raus 5 Minuten vorm Wegfahren und startet das Auto und die Sitzheizung damit wir nicht einfrieren, wenn wir dann losfahren. Aber nächste Woche wird das endlich eingebaut, macht Sinn bei den Temperaturen...

Sodala und jetzt zur Englischaufgabe diese Woche: Es is so, dass wir uns einmal die Woche mit einer Englischlehrerin treffen um zu reden und die gibt uns natürlich auch immer eine Aufgabe. Diese Woche müssen wir einen Blogbeitrag auf Englisch schreiben, also here we go:

Temperatures drop down to -30 during the night and during the day the thermometer shows -20 degrees. Therefore, vehicles have problems to start... Well, block heater cord out, plug it in and keep the motor block warm. At the moment all cars look like this: (das Foto kennt ihr ja schon ;)

A block heater is standard in Saskatchewan. What´s not standard, but most of the cars have it, is a remote to start the car from the inside and it´s already warm when you get in the car. Our remote at the moment is Bernd. He runs out 5 minutes before we like to drive away and starts the car and the seat heating so that we don´t freeze when we start. But next week we´ll finally get these in our cars, makes sense at this temperature...
